This desk resides in the chambers of a Superior Court judge in LA. The top, sides, and drawer are from one piece of intensely figured and extraordinarily large maple burl. Privacy panel is black acrylic and bottom plate is 1/2" steel. It is angular and modern blended with an organic "hand hewed" style of edge detailing throughout. The top required extensive epoxy work to fill the many natural cavities and defects and to create a uniform hardness and smoothness. See DESIGN
